Quilt Critique

The studio was used for its first quilt meeting today. Our critique group met to review each person's "work-in-process."

Pat Pauly showed her latest composition, made of hand-dyed fabrics and fabrics that she painted, mono-printed, and hand stitched.

Anne Fischer is refining her quilt, which shows a lot of her wonderful thread work. Her fox, birds, ferns, and several other elements were created with thread-painting. Anne just published her website which shows more of her quilts: http://annemfischer.com/

Group members Barb Seils, Jeanne Beck, and Marcia discuss the pieces pinned to the design wall.

Jeanne Beck's piece called "Pages" will be on exhibit at the International Quilt Festival in Houston this fall as part of an art cloth exhibit juried by Jane Dunnewold and Clair Benn. See her blog for more info: http://exploringthesurface.blogspot.com/
