Blog books

I've been thinking for a long time that it would be a good idea to have a backup record of this blog, and I've been investigating options to print it out.

I settled on Blog2Print, and ordered the first four years, 2007 - 2010.

There are options for the type of cover and the picture for the cover page.

There are also options for the layout of the pictures and text.  The quality of the print and the color of the photos are very good.

You can also select photos for the back covers.

I also used Blogger's utility to export all the posts from my blog to a backup on my computer, which could be used to restore my blog if it was lost for any reason.

Millie

Our feral barn cat, Millie, is well established as an inhabitant on our farm.  She adjusts well to most changes, but will allow no human contact.

Santa brought her a heated pad, and she likes that -- along with morning and evening meals served in her newly-constructed house.

We keep hoping that "Millie will mellow," but she either runs if  you get too close or bats at you if you happen to catch her off guard.  She does seem healthy, and we are pleased to improve her nomadic life!

Possum #5

We're not sure if we caught yet another possum, or if this is one of the first two that we trapped and relocated.  Since we drove them only a mile or so away, it's possible this is a return visit.    So this guy was given a longer ride today.

Millie (the barn kitty) is much happier when she doesn't have these visitors pilfering her food.

Sewing Day

Jeanne and Nancy came to the studio for a sewing day, and we all got involved in setting up the overhead projector.  Nancy read the directions, Jeanne was in charge of assembly, and I helped by supervising...

Jeanne had a transparency ready, which showed up perfectly on the projector.

Her plan is to stitch this image on top of a quilt that she has already constructed.

Here she is tracing the image so that she'll have a pattern to work from.

Xmas card help

Bill and Suki were on hand to help get the Christmas cards ready.

Suki went through all the cards in the box -- I think in search for her favorite one!

Peeps Meeting

Our December meeting and holiday celebration was hosted by Jeanne.  Everything in her home was beautifully decorated and ready for the holidays.

Our place settings at our lunch table included favors with chocolates and a handmade present from Jeanne.

Our presents are under the tree, ready for the gift exchange.

Jeanne let Pippa, the new puppy, join us for a while.

The gang gathered for some appetizers before lunch, and we had some show & tell.

Pat showed us the fabric she's been working on for a new project.

Main Street Arts

My friend, Shirley, and I had a lovely lunch in Clifton Springs, and then set out to visit the new gallery that opened this Fall on Main Street.

The current exhibit on the first floor is Fabulous Fibers, showing work by members of the Rochester Area Fiber Artists.  It includes art quilts, scarfs, jackets, vests, and felted items.

The second floor includes ceramics, photography, paintings, and prints.

Shirley liked the round beaded piece in particular.

More possums

We found two more possums in the barn -- at least I don't think they are the same ones we caught once already...   And this rude fellow was making himself comfortable in Millie's bed in the manger of one of the horse stalls!

This one got away from us, but Bill managed to trap one in a garbage can for relocation tomorrow.  We're beginning to wonder how more are living in the barn...
