A quiet Sunday

Painter Jim worked on trim staining again today. He will wait to put a final coat on the exterior until the dirt is moved back around the foundation and eave troughs are on the roof. We don't know when either event will take place.

Marcia picks from the everbearing red raspberry plants. They are producing a good first crop and will continue to yield up to the killing frost. Despite eating them for breakfast and lunch, it is difficult to keep up with the daily harvest.

The lily pond reaches full production. This feature will display blooms for the next six weeks or so. The ebb and flow of the display is a daily pleasure and is entirely dependant upon the strength of the sun.

The trumpet vine, another old favorite, enters into a full summer flowering. This plant is very invasive and will receive a substantial cut-back in the fall.
