Summer Day

Inspector Suki is enthralled with the printer. She perches on top whenever it's running, and loves the whirring and clicking sounds of the machine. The best part is when the printed page magically appears! It captures her full attention every time.

Here Miss Suki finds a pile of batting scraps and settles in to watch things. Her curled tail is an important part of her rapt attention, and she is ready to move at any provocation!

We have had a summer of growing clouds and thunderstorms, and the studio windows have given us a wonderful view of the action. After a dry summer last year, July of this year has brought almost daily rain.

The sunset brings various colors to the billowing clouds. With the natural composition of lights, darks, and neutrals, perhaps this will serve as an inspiration for a future quilt!
