Cynthia Corbin class - Day 1

Genesee Valley Quilt Club hosted a class by Cynthia Corbin, "Art Simply Done." We started by making simple sketches of a block design, inspired by shapes and lines we liked from a picture, photo, postcard, etc. Then from one of our sketches, we created a few small fabric compositions, varying them with fabric choices.

You can see Cynthia in this picture discussing someone's work with several class members.

The design board on the left is Pat Pauly's and the one on the right is Mary Weiser's.

Janet Root shows us the original blocks she made on the left of her board, and then the block on the right that evolved over the course of the day.

Carolyn Maruggi's original blocks are on her design board, and her two blocks in process are on her cutting mat.
