Art Quilts at SUNY Oswego

This is the excellent brochure that heralds the upcoming art quilt exhibit at the Tyler Gallery at SUNY Oswego which runs from September 5 through October 19.

Pat Pauly, a quilt artist from Pittsford, is the curator of the show and has chosen 18 other artists from around New York State to display their work.

One of Marcia's Jet Trail series (#5) was chosen and is represented on its own page in the booklet. Clicking on the picture will bring the artist statement into view. The overall theme of the show features art pieces inspired by nature and visual impressions of such imagery.

The large old barrel cactus continues to flower. In the background, another one of Inspector Suki's favorite napping spots is featured. She often takes day-time naps in the willow-inspired and constructed "Adirondack" chair. She is not happy that we continue to expose the favorite spots in her domain!

Marcia is working on quilting another top from her collection. She's using invisible thread and outlining sections of the pattern, which is going just a bit slower than using the longarm!
