Sewing and jelly

Marcia works on the new sewing table as she quilts the woven indigo fabric from Thailand that will become the sides of her vest she started in Priscilla's jacket class.

Suki has decided there is no need for her services and enjoys the extended flat surface to curl up on her quilted pad.

We completed three batches of grape jelly today. It is always a pleasure to see the results of a long growing season. Growing grapes is a year-round job, but we both enjoy the end product.

Not all of our efforts this summer were successful. We planted four rows of ornamental gourds and watched the drought shrivel the plants. The pictured small produce is the actual TOTAL harvest!!!
