Lakeside-Statewide Juried Art Exhibition

Nancy Hicks and I both had pieces accepted for the Lakeside-Statewide Exhibit sponsored by the Art Association of Oswego, so we traveled to Oswego for the opening. The party featured live music and lots of wonderful munchies and desserts prepared by a local caterer.

Nancy's large quilt of African ladies, "Phula and Nomi," had a prominent spot at the end of the room on the 2nd floor.

Nancy's other piece is shown here on the left. "Gyotaku" features a Japanese fish print..

My quilt, "Building Blocks," shown here in the center of the picture, is hanging on the first floor.

Nancy's African ladies are easier to see in this picture, flanking Bill DeMott as he read the names of the artists who won prizes at the exhibit. Bill did a wonderful job hanging the show.
