Cutting Up The Pretties - Day 1

A 3-day sewing session started today with the goal of "Cutting Up The Pretties" -- that is, creating new compositions from our favorite hand-dyed, shiboried, discharged, painted, printed or otherwise just wonderful fabrics.
Jeanne Simpson's fabric is on the design wall at the left and Pat Pauly's is on the right.

Barb Seils worked on a small composition that may be sent to Italy as a gift for new friends she met there on her recent trip.

Nancy Hicks brought this pieced background and created a design for tall figures that she plans to "dress" with wonderful African fabrics.

I'm considering how to use pieces from my stash of discharged fabrics..
