March blizzard

Each year March brings at least one, if not several, snow and/or ice events.

This year's contribution arrived right on schedule -- very near the infamous Ides of March!

These pictures represent the cold, clear aftermath day that followed.  This one is looking East out of the studio door and spying "snow cones" on the propane tanks and some evergreen bushes.

Here we see the frozen pond off the deck.  We do have goldfish here, and a heater keeps open a small patch of water just out of the picture to the right.

The path to the barn seems long this time of the year.  Our feral barn cat expects two meals a day regardless of weather.  The shoveling is done by the better half of this couple, and you will have to guess who this might be!

The front of the house shows more covers of white.  We think we had about 1 1/2 feet of snow yesterday.  We hope Spring will soon be here and this long, cold winter will join the record book of infamy!
